Henri Matisse spent two winters in Tangier, in 1912 and 1913, and painted its light, its gardens and the view from his window. Writers and painters followed for decades, drawn by the same mix of cultures.
This private day looks at Tangier with that eye. You visit St Andrew’s Church, built in Moorish style, the Mendoubia Gardens and the Moshe Nahon Synagogue, drive out to Perdicaris Park and Cap Spartel, then spend four hours in the Medina — the longest Medina time of any of our tours.
